PAUL, Minn. — In 2014, plenty of eyes will be focused on the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and its men's and women's cross country teams, and many of the onlookers will reside outside Minnesota's state borders. With the defending men's national champions and a total of six nationally ranked men's and women's teams, MIAC runners have certainly worked their way into the national spotlight.A year ago, St. Olaf captured the MIAC's fourth men's cross country national championship and the school's first NCAA Division III team title in any sport. National Coach-of-the-Year Phil Lundin returns six of his top seven, which is why the Oles will begin the season as the No. 1-ranked team in Division III, and the favorite to repeat in the MIAC.
