Senior Erik Olson and Concordia earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national academic honors.

Cobber sophomore Ben Vickstrom continued his breakout season by finishing in the top 5 in the 100 and 200 meters at the MIAC Meet and helped CC place eighth.

Concordia sophomore sprinter Ben Vickstrom was named MIAC track Athlete of the Week for his lightning-fast performance at the Spite The Flood Meet on Saturday.

Brad Johnson had four 600-plus point events in the MIAC decathlon and finished in eighth place at the event. He was one of two Cobber athletes to compete.

Concordia was finally able to host its annual Cobber Twilight meet and came away with a second-place finish in a meet that featured athletes from seven different area schools.

Due to the continued wintery conditions in the Fargo-Moorhead area, the annual Cobber Twilight Meet scheduled for Tuesday, Apr. 23 has been postponed until a later date.

Bruce Shields had an epic start to his 2013 Spring Break as he ran the second fastest 200-meter time in school history and helped the 4x200-meter relay team break the school record.

For the second time in the past three weeks Concordia senior Erik Olson earned MIAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors.

Concordia’s freshmen and first-year athletes accounted for 23 of the 29.5 team points scored at the MIAC Championship Meet as the Cobbers placed ninth at the meet held at Macalester College.

Concordia staged a huge late-meet rally to come away with its best finish at the MIAC Indoor Championship Meet since 2009.
